Heat take on Blazers in South Beach

11/12/2008 - (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Miami Heat will resume a three-game homestand this evening versus the Portland Trail Blazers at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Miami has won three of its last four games and opened the homestand with Monday's 99-94 victory over the New Jersey Nets. Heat star Dwyane Wade scored 19 of his 33 points in the deciding fourth quarter and added five assists.

Rookie Michael Beasley finished with 19 points, six rebounds and four assists for the Heat, who will also host Washington in South Beach. Miami is trying to open the season with four straight wins at home for the first time in franchise history.

Miami forward Shawn Marion suffered a left groin strain in Saturday's setback to the New Orleans Hornets and sat out Monday's contest. Marion, guards Marcus Banks (groin) and Shaun Livingston (knee) are questionable for tonight.

Portland is on a roll lately, having won three straight to improve to 4-3 on the season. In Monday's 106-99 win over the Orlando Magic in the opener of a five-game road trip, Brandon Roy scored 27 points while Steve Blake and Travis Outlaw each scored 20 points in the win.

Rudy Fernandez chipped in 16 points off the bench and LaMarcus Aldridge ended with 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who will also visit New Orleans, Minnesota and Golden State on the swing.

The Blazers continue to play without center Greg Oden, who has been out since suffering a right foot injury in the season opener. Oden, who practiced on Tuesday, is surprisingly listed as probable for Wednesday, but the team will be cautious. Roy is questionable with back spasms.

Portland won both meetings with Miami last season and is 7-5 over the previous 12 matchups in this season. The Trail Blazers have won five of seven at Miami.
